FLARE

FLARE is a DEI (Diversity, Equality & Inclusion) group for women, created by Brightly Software, a Siemens Company, who work in Local Authorities in Highways departments, supporting all activities. This group is open to women at all levels and stages of their careers, the objective is to create a network of women to share resources and strategies of being a woman working in a local authority highways department.

This project was about building an engaging and dynamic website for a modern company that values innovation and creativity. Flare needed a digital presence that not only highlighted their unique services but also conveyed their brand’s energetic, forward-thinking personality.

Project Goals

Flare's goal was to create a visually striking website that could support a wide range of digital media, showcase their latest projects, and effectively communicate their brand message. They were looking for a design that felt fresh, vibrant, and adaptable, capable of leaving a lasting impression on visitors and potential clients alike.

Design Approach

To bring Flare’s vision to life, I focused on a bold, visually engaging design with bright accents and impactful imagery. The colour scheme was chosen to reflect Brightly’s dynamic brand while keeping the layout modern and user-friendly. This approach allows each page to feel inviting and energetic, keeping users engaged as they browse.

The design also features a strong visual hierarchy and clear navigation to ensure an intuitive user experience. By balancing visual appeal with functionality, the site provides a seamless journey, encouraging users to explore more about Flare.

Key Features

Flare’s website includes several key features designed to enhance user experience and functionality:

  • Event Listings: To build trust, a testimonials section highlights positive feedback, showing visitors that Flare is a reliable and professional choice.

  • Mobile Optimisation: Recognizing the importance of a mobile-friendly design, the site was built to be fully responsive, ensuring a smooth experience on all devices.

The Outcome

The final result is a vibrant, responsive website that truly embodies Flare’s brand identity. It not only looks impressive but also offers easy navigation and a memorable experience, making it a valuable asset in helping Flare connect with their audience and showcase their work effectively.
