Welcome to this month’s edition of the Tenji Digital Newsletter.
September is an exciting time of the year for anyone who uses Squarespace extensively. Squarespace Circle Day is just around the corner and it’s a chance for me to digitally network with other designers and get insider news about what features will be coming soon. A lot of the news will be confidential, but I’ll be sure to pass on anything that I’m allowed to. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to make it out to New York this year, but I’m hoping to next year - fingers crossed!

GOOGLE DRIVE ACCOUNT - NEED TO RECONNECT BY 23RD SEPTEMBER
Google has made some changes to their platform that will impact some website forms and sign up blocks on your website. This only impacts you if you save the responses to a Google Sheet (you would have set this in the “Storage” area of a Form block or Sign Up block). Squarespace have created a video to guide you through how to reconnect your Google Drive account, here.
INTRODUCING SQUARESPACE PAYMENTS
Squarespace customers in the UK and Canada can now manage payments and payouts directly on Squarespace using Squarespace Payments. This means you no longer have to use Stripe or PayPal.
MENU PANEL CHANGES
Squarespace are changing their menus… again! “Selling” will become “Products & Services”. A few items are moving under different headings too. The biggest tip I can give you is to navigate Squarespace menus these days is to press the forward slash on your keyboard whilst in back-end of your Squarespace site. This brings up a search box and you can type in what you want to find.
NEW SEO EXTENSION - SEOSPACE
Squarespace has officially partnered with SEOSpace - in my opinion, this is long overdue. This was previously only available as a browser plug-in and helps you improve your search engine ranking through various tips when it comes to technical SEO. BE AWARE OF SPAM
There appears to be another round of spam emails going around focusing on renewals. Please be careful before clicking any links. Squarespace DO send you emails ahead of your renewal, but if you’re happy to continue on your Squarespace plan, you don’t need to do anything - no links to click. You can handle your subscriptions from the Billing screen within Squarespace.
